Once Upon a Time in America - new extended edition Blu-ray

There's fans of this classic on here I know.
Famously cut up and fucked about with by U.S studios against Sergio Leone's wishes.
He was so upset over what they did to his masterpiece he never directed again.
But few years ago they found about 20-odd minutes of previously unseen footage and they've worked it back into the film to make this extended director's cut blu-ray.
To be released in October, available for pre-order.

The only film ever improved by being extended is Heaven's Gate. Usually, all the heavy lifting on a film is done in the editing suite.

It's fucking long enough and dull enough as it is already...
One of the most overrated films ever...
That and Ben-fucking-Her... Another boring cunt film that goes on for fucking hours and hours...

Good / great film but as a few have said it could have been even better. Very melancoly and gritty for an American film, leaves you a bit bewildered by the end.

File away under films that sadly never happened, like Kubrick's Napoleon.
And Welles' Heart of Darkness and Attenborough's Thomas Paine
For me this was de Niro's last great performance and possibly his greatest ever. Some of the scenes he plays after he has come back to NY after 30 years in exile are incredible. For those who say he was never that great an actor they should watch this film.

The link you posted is for the single disc standard edition directors cut...
'The Extended Director's Cut is being released via two editions: a 2-disc Extended Director's Cut Collector's Edition, which contains the Extended Director's Cut, the 1984 theatrical edition, Digital HD with UltraViolet, plus the 32-page book with rare photos and chronicles of the movie's production; and a single-disc standard edition.'

I'll wait for the Collectors Edition to be available here or get it from the good old USofA if it isn't!
This is the most complete version so far. There isn't a collector's edition on BR.

Didn't know that. That would've been incredible.
File away under films that sadly never happened, like Kubrick's Napoleon.

Robocop (the 1984 version) - they've recently done a 4K master onto Blu-Ray and it looks incredible
